“The children’s favorite camp of the summer, again!”

“It has been a long time since we’ve seen [our child] so creatively engaged.”

Acting games, play rehearsals, creating sets, inventing costumes, the thrill of an audience and the warmth of friendships old and new … At DRT Summer Theatre Camp every actor is guaranteed a part. Public performances are held on Friday night of the final week of camp.

The Stolen Treasures Team in

Searching for Sunny's Mule

1st episode in a new series of magical adventure plays

written by Jennifer Justice

"When you search for treasure, you never know what you will find."

When Sunny Fripp asks the STOLEN TREASURES TEAM to find a lost mule, they almost refuse. Then SLOANE says "Guys, beggars can't be choosers, PARKER adds, "I guess we have to start some place and CASS, newly arrived from England, agrees, "Although I prefer to keep my distance from mules.” LAYLA is up for anything. "If I fly all the way from L.A. to the Carolina swamps, we are going to find some treasure." The Stolen Treasures team takes their first job - not knowing the mule was lost 160-years-ago, or that they will be in a battle for the survival of the Gullah peoples' home and culture. And not suspecting that each of them has a gift that can make the difference between success and failure.
